dc.description.abstract | Zamzama field is a lately developed Southern Indus Basin gas field. This research objective was to identify the structure in the subsurface of the study area and to characterize reservoir potential of main producing reservoir for Zamzama block that is Pab sandstone. First, Seismic interpretation was done over 3D seismic data cube for understanding of subsurface structure of this area, which shows the presence of a north-south trending reverse fault, and fault bounded anticline structure. Attribute analysis done for the Pab Sandstone shows a very little variation on the western side because of presence of the compacted sandstone for instantaneous frequency, phase, relative acoustic impedance and for energy attribute, But the variation in the attributes were seen as we move towards the eastern side i.e., fault nearby area. The numerous fractures encountered were higher near to the zone of fault, which resulted in the reduction of values for the said attributes. Analysis of petrophysics done for well Zamzama-03 which exhibit one zone of 7 meters having 13% porosity and around 78% hydrocarbon saturation. | en_US |
