| dc.description.abstract | This report discusses the scope and detailed description of our final year project “Data Transmission via AC Power Lines”. The main objective of the perceived and designed project is to send and receive data through the existing AC Power Lines without using any external cables. The data from one room is sent to the other through FSK modulation technique and retrieved from the other room using Phase Locked Loop (PLL) demodulation technique. This is a duplex communication with two slave nodes and one master node. Effectively, data from any of the 2 slave nodes in 2 different rooms is sent to the master node either simultaneously or at a time depending on the master’s request in the 3rd room where their data is displayed. The AC power lines will act as a mean of communication between the nodes. This report briefly explains the project and its technical description. The focus of the report is to discuss the scope and objectives of our project, components used and describe the technology used in this project. The report makes an assiduous description of Power Line Communication phenomenon in a detailed manner along with its colossal advantages in our everyday life along with its limitations. | en_US |
