Abstract:
The ultimate goal of this effort is to precisely map the truncation boundary of Reservoir Sandstone-C by using the Synthetic Seismograms. For achieving the goals synthetic seismograms were developed at multiple wells. To yield out the good results, a good understanding of synthetic seismograms was developed, both theoretically and practically. For this purpose of achieving the good calibration between the seismic and synthetic seismogram the Q.C of well logs was carried out and the logs were edited at certain points as required. Once the calibration was achieved the synthetics were overlain over the 3D seismic sections at their respective well locations to carry out the precise interpretation. Results and the applications of the spectral decomposition based on the Discrete Fourier Transform. It is characterized by a linear transform. This work attempts to show an application of spectral decomposition while looking for the presence of channels. These channels may have the possible potential of hydrocarbon
