dc.description.abstract In this study, drinking water quality of Dera Ghazi Khan city and Haji Ghazi Village is analyzed. Study included the analysis of 40 ground water sample. The main purpose of this study is to determine the quality of drinking water in selected areas of Dera Ghazi Khan and Haji Ghazi. For this, 40 water samples were collected from canal site and other places. The study aimed to analyze physicochemical, as well as heavy metal parameters. The overall result of this study shown that the concentration of all the physicochemical parameters were within permissible limits while concentration of biological parameters, heavy metal (Arsenic and Cadmium) exceeded the permissible limits at few locations. The result of heavy metal shows that the some of the sample exceed the limited of WHO standard in Cadmium, while in the case of Arsenic all the sample are in their limit. However, the concerned authorities should start focusing on the water quality condition. en_US
