dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between locus of control, superstitious beliefs and decision-making styles among housewives. It was hypothesized that there will be relationship between locus of control, superstitious beliefs and decision making styles among housewives. Locus of control and superstitious beliefs will predict decision making styles among housewives. There will be differences in locus of control, superstitious beliefs and decision making styles based on demographic variables. Correlational research design was used to conduct this study. A sample of 200 housewives’ age range (19-65) years was recruited using purposive sampling technique from Rawalpindi and Islamabad. . Locus of Control of Behavior Scale (Craig et al., 1984), Superstitious belief scale (Fluke et al., 2014). General Decision-Making Style Questionnaire (Scott & Bruce, 1995) were employed to measure the constructs. Pearson bivariate inter-scale correlation analysis resulted that locus of control and superstitious Beliefs are positively correlated with decision making styles. Furthermore, results showed that locus of control was found to be significant and positive predictor of intuitive decision making style and superstitious beliefs were found to be significant and positive predictor of avoidant decision making style. Spontaneous decision-making style was found to be significantly different in terms of age group among young adulthood. Superstitious beliefs and dependent decision making style were found to be significantly different among housewives who lived in joint family system. Additional findings, limitations and recommendations for future studies are also discussed. en_US
