dc.description.abstract The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived social support, emotional intelligence and life satisfaction in university students. The data was collected from university students (N=270) from Islamabad with an age range of 18-26. Sample percentage of female and male participants, percentage of females is seen more than males i.e 65.2% and 34.8% respectively. Convenient sampling was used for data collection. There instruments were used to measure the study variables i.e Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale for perceived social support, Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale for emotional intelligence, and for life satisfaction the satisfaction with life scale is used. Results of the study revealed that there was a significant relationship between perceived social support, emotional intelligence and life satisfaction of university students. There was no significant difference in means of gender, family system and education on study variables. Results suggest that students who perceive more social support from friends and family, would have higher satisfaction with life. Students with high emotional intelligence tend to experience greater life satisfaction. Current study was in lined with the findings of previous studies which shows that perceived social support and emotional intelligence would interact to produce life satisfaction. The study has implications corporate and educational sectors. In addition to that, limitations, recommendations for future research and practical implications were also discussed. en_US
