dc.description.abstract Maritime piracy is a significant threat to the security and safety of commercial vessels and their crews in Pakistan. The country's strategic location at the mouth of the Arabian Sea and the busy shipping lanes that pass through it make it a prime target for piracy. In recent years, piracy incidents in Pakistani waters have increased, leading to concerns about the safety of seafarers and the impact on maritime trade. This abstract provides an overview of the current state of maritime piracy in Pakistan, including its causes, trends, and implications. It examines the factors that contribute to piracy, such as poverty, corruption, and the lack of effective law enforcement, and discusses the measures taken by the government and international community to combat piracy. The research concludes by highlighting the need for a comprehensive and coordinated approach to address piracy in Pakistani waters, including better cooperation among regional states, improved surveillance and monitoring systems, and more effective legal frameworks. en_US
