dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the coping strategies employed by Millennials and Generation Z to manage psychosocial stress arising from gender role conflict, with a focus on discerning intergenerational differences. Through a comparative analysis, we examined the relationship between gender role conflict and psychosocial stress, exploring how these cohorts cope with gender-related challenges. A cross-sectional correlational design was used in the study, and a survey method was used to gather data from 307 participants from Gen Z and Millennials. The Brief Cope (BC) scale was used to assess coping strategies, Depression anxiety stress scale (DASS) is used to assess psychosocial stress and Gender role conflict scale (GRCS)is used to assess gender role conflicts. This study focuses on differences in coping mechanisms between Millennials and Generation Z as they assess how they handle psychosocial stress associated with gender role conflict. In comparison to Generation Z, Millennials suffer higher levels of psychosocial stress and are more likely to adopt emotional-focused and avoidant coping mechanisms, according to research that examines if there are substantial differences in coping strategies. Furthermore, both generations' higher degrees of gender role conflict and increased psychosocial stress are positively correlated, according to the study. In all groups, adaptive coping techniques including reaching out to others for support and engaging in mindfulness practices are linked to reduced stress levels. | en_US |
