Abstract:
The study's objective is to ascertain a well's hydrocarbon potential through an analysis of its well logs, which includes computations for permeability, water saturation, shale volume, porosity, and lithology resolution. According to the findings, the primary reservoir rock is the Khewra Sandstone. The average porosity in the Khewra is 10.67%; water saturation is 25.96%; and shale volume is 26.92%. Shale volume was computed using the GR linear equation, water saturation was determined using the Indonesia equation, and porosity was determined using a combination of bulk density (RHOB) and neutron porosity (NPHI) logs. The analysis demonstrates that hydrocarbon production from the well is possible.
