dc.description.abstract This project investigates the barriers to growth of a nascent social enterprise, focusing on the issue of member motivation within Khairiyah, an organization managed by Bahrain students since 2021. Through qualitative research method, the study identifies and analyzes the root causes of demotivation among members, offering insights and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness and sustainability. The primary problem identified is the lack of motivation among Khairiyah’s members. This issue manifests as an over-reliance on leadership for initiating and planning activities, leading to decreased engagement and productivity. Various methods were employed to recognize these issues, including intercommunication, social media engagement trends, questionnaires, and interviews. Members expressed feelings of laziness and reluctance to participate in activities, which was corroborated by low engagement on social media posts and feedback from team meetings. To analyze the issue of demotivation, data was collected from Khairiyah’s employees using both quantitative and qualitative methods: 1. Interviews: Face-to-face interviews were conducted with core team members, including three executive management members and an active volunteer. These interviews provided in-depth insights into intrinsic motivation. 2. Secondary Data: Additional data was gathered from Instagram analytics and interactions within WhatsApp groups, providing informal insights into team dynamics. The data was analyzed using: 1. Qualitative Analysis: Interview data was analyzed using thematic analysis based on the Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) philosophy, identifying, analyzing, and reporting patterns within the data. en_US
