dc.description.abstract | This project focuses on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC), the country's sole state channel and its inaugural broadcaster. The ability of any organization to adapt to evolving market conditions and technological advancements is fundamental to its success. PTVC faces significant challenges in maintaining operational efficiency and employee welfare, primarily due to inadequate technical advancements and integration within its human resources division. This deficiency has led to issues such as employee burnout, inflexible work schedules, and diminishing support for employee well-being. To address these challenges, PTVC management must assess existing technical tools and seek employee feedback to identify inefficiencies and shortcomings. Prioritizing the professional development and well-being of employees, alongside implementing technological solutions, is essential. Methodologically, a survey involving 20 respondents was conducted to evaluate perceptions of the current technological situation within PTVC's HR department. Recommended solutions include adopting an Employee Self-Service Portal (ESSP) for increased autonomy, streamlining HR procedures with a HRIS, monitoring employee performance with Performance Management Software (PMS), and providing training and development materials through a Learning Management System (LMS). Effective implementation of these solutions requires employee engagement, thorough testing, and careful planning, addressing concerns such as data security, personalization, and integration with existing systems. Key phases in the deployment process involve educating HR staff, transferring manual data to the HRIS, and ensuring the tools meet employee expectations. The project also suggests several key enhancements for PTVC's HR Department such as skilldevelopment workshops, performance feedback systems, a holacratic structure, development sabbaticals, job rotation, team-building activities, and adoption of communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom. It also advocates for stress reduction programs and retired personnel as trainers. Prioritizing employee satisfaction, technology integration, and comprehensive wellbeing programs is crucial for PTVC's success in today's business environment, with effective technological integration being paramount. | en_US |
