Abstract:
This project is intended to support and provide counseling to the students of Bahria
University while register for new courses at the beginning of new semester. The aim
is to assist them to maintain and improve their CGPA by providing them a statistical
analysis of the predicted result and to help them in choosing the appropriate courses.
Being students of the University we realized that it is extremely important that
students must be guided at the time of course registration in choosing the appropriate
courses in order to maintain or improve their CGPA. Our further investigation
revealed that many foreign universities such as Miami University, Oxford Ohio
University at Albany, New York offer facilities to their students such as online
applications which can help them to predict their CGPA in advance and to make any
progress plans accordingly. This is can be very helpful to them and acts as a
counselor to them.
We have decided to introduce the same facility to the students of Bahria University
for the very first time. Our application is web-based and is extremely user friendly.
Any of the registered students can access our application conveniently through the
University website and get a predicted result of the courses they choose. We aim to
make further enhancements by adding a study planner, and useful links for each
course.
