Abstract

In today’s world, many complaints of missing dear ones are found. Recent stats show there were 5,213 missing person cases of which 3213 were disposed of while 2,000 remained unsolved in Pakistan during recent year[1]. In busy life of today taking care of kids and old family member is becoming a great challenge. Further due to growing threats and criminal activities in society, complaints of missing kids and lost old persons has increased alarmingly. Recent wave of child kidnapping and rape cases has whistled the alarm. This is the time to provide technological support to overcome such challenges. There are many man-based organizations working in this concern. But Technological support with the essence of speed searching capability is the need of hour. This platform is the solution, most significantly provides people a hope and support for the people and related law enforcement agencies to find missing persons. The most important concern that encouraged to develop this application was to provide people efficient and quick searching facility based on agile development methodologies and using React Native framework for developing the application using JavaScript. In this regard, Expo-an open source React Native development tool, was the choice. This platform enables user to search via face identification and other appearance and age-related Biomarkers. To achieve these functionalities APIs for face detection and location sharing is integrated. This project is an integration of filtered search techniques, face recognition, social media support, location, and law enforcement to find missing persons.
