Abstract:
Now a days’ mental health and illness are important public health issues in Pakistan. There are
various types of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, eating disorders etc. which can
be treatable by the patient’s response to the doctor and the doctor can understand the patient’s
situation, and provides the required treatment to the patient according to circumstances. In our
country people usually feel shy and hesitated to discuss their mental situations because in return
people usually start calling them mental or psycho. To overcome this problem, we are going to
provide an android application to people where they can easily judge their mental state by just
answering few questions and then can directly consult to the professionals if they want without
any one's interruption.
We will be developing an android application on android studio version 3.3.2 using JAVA
language. Using Agile Model for our software we will be applying the Feature Driven
Development (FDD) method. This application will contain psychological tests about several issues
that patients often consult to every Psychology Professional. The tests in the application are one
of the quickest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a specific mental
health condition. The content will be simple to understand and very useful. It can be effective in
making therapy more accessible, efficient, and portable. We will be generating results according
to the answers, letting them know about their mental health and then suggest them some
professional psychologists/psychiatrists. The person can contact them via email or WhatsApp. For
this purpose, we will be using implicit app call method. Through this app person will also be able
to check the nearby hospitals/consultancy centres on whatever place he/she is at just on one click.
This task will be implemented using Google Places API
