dc.description.abstract Online education needs time due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Universities are doing all online activities through their learning management system. Bahria University is also doing the same through the learning management system. Students and teachers use this platform to perform academic activities online. Both students and teachers face many usability issues in the interface of LMS. This is because of poor interface design along with neglected usability guidelines that are proposed by usability experts like Jacob Nielsen. So, there is a need to identify usability issues in this LMS and then provide recommendations to overcome these issues and problems. To tackle usability problems well, this study is conducted to aim at the usability improvement of BULMS. The methodology used for the evaluation and analysis of BULMS was heuristic evaluation and SUS based upon the usability guidelines proposed by Jacob Nielsen. The research finding concluded that the system usability scale score of BULMS was less than 70% which indicated that BULMS has usability issues in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and learnability. Four expert evaluators were selected for heuristic evaluation to find out usability issues. Finally, a prototype design is proposed which relies on these issues that were discovered by expert users in the heuristic evaluation en_US
