A Decision Support System To Recommend Hotel

Abstract

The system is a web-based application. We developed a recommender system and the specific domain in which have worked is hotel recommender system. Hotel recommender system will perform functionality based on profile preferences, behavior of the hotel search and on the basis of content-based matching. Our system will suggest latest and timely hotels and provide good percentage of accuracy according to the interest of the tourist based on profile. We need this system as it is very difficult or time consuming to search a hotel from the number of thousands of posted hotels on different local platforms. Another reason why we need this system is exponential growth of data which arise the problem called information overload. Due to information overloading it is very difficult to search a specific hotel of their interest at the right time. To tackle this problem, we are going to providing a web personalized platform which has all the posted hotels that are posted on different local platforms by continues scrapping form these local platforms. Another important point that this project is not only based on scrapping the data from local platforms like booking.com etc. We also providing registration facility to companies to register and post their hotels on our platform as we going to deploy website on server domain. To achieve our purpose, we are adopting agile methodology because of research and development project and cross matching of requirement with development. Also detailed goals are set in each iteration meeting to solve unexpected changes
