dc.description.abstract | The volume of data is escalating enormously day by day. It is becoming hard and complex to process such huge amount of data with usually used software tools. The core challenges linked with the BIG DATA are storing, culling, transferring, searching and analyzing etc. This project deals with the recommendation of products using BIG DATA. Recommendation systems have turn into enormously common in past years, and are functional in a variety of applications that hunt for predicting the 'preference' or 'rating' that user would give to an item. The core idea of the project is product recommendations through item to item collaborative filtering on massive scale of data by means of Hadoop, Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS) used for data storage and Java for development.
