This study investigates the geotechnical properties of Wargal Limestone, located in Musakhel, Mianwali, with a focus on its applicability for road construction. In this research, Wargal Limestone is thoroughly examined using exacting laboratory testing carried out at the Construction Technology and Training Institute (CTTI). A variety of tests, including the Sieve Analysis, Los Angeles Abrasion Test, Soundness Test, and Flakiness/Elongation Test, were used to evaluate important geotechnical properties. The average results obtained are Aggregate Crushing Value (12.9%), Aggregate Impact Value (14%), Soundness Test (5.26%), Flakiness/Elongation Test (20%), Los Angeles Abrasion Test (9.9%), and Sieve Analysis (28.5%, 2.7%, and 1.9%). The results of the investigation verify that Wargal Limestone exhibit characteristics that are in good agreement with the guidelines, recommending it for use in both general construction and road building. With this research, the potential of Wargal Limestone as a dependable aggregate supply is highlighted, assisting in better selection and application of the material in engineering applications. |
