dc.description.abstract The research work is based on the potential for uranium prospection and mineralization in Takht-e-Nasrati, Shanawa Gudikhel, Karak, Pakistan, with a focus on understanding the geological setting, mineralization processes, and the associated environmental, health, and socio-economic impacts. The region's complex geological framework, characterized by its interplay of sedimentary basins and igneous intrusions, creates favorable conditions for both primary and secondary uranium mineralization. Utilizing a combination of radiometric surveying, geochemical sampling, and remote sensing technologies, this study identifies significance of uranium and heavy metals, thereby contributing to the regional economic potential and aligning with Pakistan's growing energy demands. Environmental assessments reveal that uranium mining could significantly impact the local environment, particularly affecting groundwater, and soil quality through the mobilization of heavy metals. The study proposes strong moderation strategies to address these environmental challenges, emphasizing the importance of sustainable mining practices. Health risk assessments, particularly related to uranium and heavy metals, underscore the need for comprehensive health monitoring and community education programs to mitigate risks associated with radioactive materials. The socioeconomic analysis indicates that uranium mining offers significant economic benefits, including job creation and infrastructure development. However, it also presents potential social challenges that necessitate careful management and community engagement to ensure equitable development. Our study advocates for the implementation of a regulatory framework that promotes responsible mining practices, balancing economic benefits with environmental protection and social welfare. The geological assessment confirms the successful and sustainable development of these resources requires an integrated approach that considers technical, environmental, and social factors. Our Research provides a foundation for future research and policymaking, aiming to optimize the benefits of uranium resources while minimizing adverse impacts, thereby supporting both national energy strategies and regional development. en_US
