dc.description.abstract This study investigates the impact of digital transformation on business performance within the pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on the utilization of Industry 4.0 technologies such as Big data, Cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and Interoperability. Primary quantitative data were collected via a structured questionnaire from pharmaceutical firms in Islamabad, Karachi, and Peshawar to assess the adoption and utilization of these technologies and key performance indicators related to business operations and outcomes. Statistical analysis techniques, including multiple regression analysis using Smart PLS, were employed to examine the relationships between digital transformation initiatives and business performance measures. The results reveal a significant impact of digital transformation on various aspects of business performance, particularly on innovation, productivity, and profitability. While the correlation with innovation and productivity is robust, the relationship with profitability is more nuanced. These findings highlight the transformative potential of digital technologies in enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. The study underscores the importance of a strategic and integrated approach to digital transformation for sustained growth and competitiveness. It provides actionable insights for industry stakeholders, emphasizing the need for seamless technology integration, workforce training, process optimization, and strategic planning to maximize the benefits of digitalization. Ultimately, by adopting a holistic approach to digital transformation, pharmaceutical firms can position themselves for sustained growth and resilience in an increasingly digitalized landscape. en_US
