dc.description.abstract | The rising demand for premium protein is largely met by the chicken industry. However, keeping poultry farms' environments at their ideal levels is crucial to the well-being and output of the animals. The goal of this project is to use the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi single-board computer to construct an Environmental Control System (ECS) for chicken farms. The Environmental Control System aims to address key parameters influencing the poultry farming environment, including temperature, humidity, and ven- tilation. The Raspberry Pi, equipped with various sensors and actuators, will serve as the central control unit. Temperature and humidity sensors will continuously monitor the ambient conditions, while ventilation fans and heaters will be controlled to maintain the desired parameters within predefined ranges. Real-time data collection, remote monitoring, and automated control are some of the primary characteristics of an environmental control system. Farmers will be able to see historical data patterns and the present environmental conditions through an intuitive interface that makes the system accessible. In order to enable timely intervention, alerts and notifications will be put in place to advise farmers of any deviations from the ideal circumstances. The integration of the Raspberry Pi with wireless communication technologies will enable remote monitoring and control, providing farmers with the flexibility to manage poultry farms efficiently from a distance. Ad- Additionally, the system will incorporate energy-efficient practices, optimizing resource utilization and reducing operational costs. This project endeavors to provide a cost-effective and expandable system that can be employed in chicken farms of varying sizes, by utilizing the capabilities of the Rasp- berry Pi. Because of its versatility and user-friendliness, the system is a useful instrument for enhancing the general health of the poultry business, guaranteeing higher yields, and upgrading bird farming techniques. | en_US |
