Game Based Business Process Visualization Engine

Abstract

Visualization helps with understanding the information more accurately and efficiently. Especially when it comes to complex business workflows. However, there is a lack of platforms that effectively cater to the problems of certain organizations. To address this issue, we introduce a web-based game application – “GAME BASED PROCESS VISUALIZATION ENGINE”. The game allows users to analyze complex process workflows and understand them effectively. Companies in need of software to train their employees about business processes can use this platform. The prime objective of this project was to develop a system to visualize the business processes within an organization to help the employees gain a better understanding of ‘How is a process carried out.’ The application also provides an evaluation platform for the employees as well as a business process visualizer that visualizes the process workflows. Our developed platform aims to help the employees within an organization understand the process workflows more effectively by providing a visualization engine that visualizes the process workflows from plain text to rendered/visualized game objects and can assist in better understanding of the processes improving decision-making within the organization.
