dc.description.abstract In the complex world of geopolitics, where the soft power has emerged as a pivotal tool in shaping the dynamics of international relations and offering nations with multiple new avenues to shape and influence the world affairs apart from using the military means. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) stands out as a key skilled player, using soft power to make allies and shape its image on the international stage. As the world evolves, the UAE has learned to use soft power, through its culture, economy and by building strong relationships with other countries. This thesis explores how the UAE has grown from a regional player to a global influencer with an ambitious focus on the relationship with Russia. Soft power has become a cornerstone in the foreign policy of UAE, navigating the complexities that come with the modern diplomacy. Initially dependent on oil revenues and with not so significant global presence, the UAE has managed to harness its soft power capabilities in shaping its diplomatic engagement specifically with more influential states. Through an analysis of the UAE incorporating new and modern means like soft power to diversify its foreign policy landscape, this research tends to illuminates the significant role of soft power in UAE’s emergence as the 21st century global player. Through an in-depth analysis, this research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the shifting world dynamics from using hardcore means to soft power, as well as by providing insights into evolving dynamics of UAE- Russia relationship which are now being examined through the lens of soft power strategies and geopolitical interests. Therefore by relating UAE and Russia relations, this research will provide a collective data under one research by critically examining and analyzing the changing dynamics behind the transformations. en_US
