dc.description.abstract Toim prove security and lawenforcement capacities,the Safe City initiative, which was startedin2016, makes use of cutting-edge surveillance technologies, such as 2512 CCTV cameras and aCommand-and-Control Center. The study intends to evaluate ethical aspects, forecast criminal activity through CCTV, predict criminal activity through collaboration between Islamabad Policeand the Safe City project, and investigate long-term implications. This study looks on the shift inlaw enforcement from reactive to proactive with the help of CCTVs, community policing, hotspotpolicing etc as well as how it was carried out in the Safe City initiative of the Islamabad Police.In-depth interviews and Observation are used to examine proactive policing, which emphasizescrime prevention and places a strong emphasis on ethical issues.The significance is in how itinfluences policy choices related to crime prevention. The literature study addresses theoreticalframe works, proactive policing with CCTVs, and international CCTV programs.Afoundation for structure and analysis is provided by the theoretical frameworks. The study employs qualitativethematic analysis, observation, field trips and interviewing as methods. The results shows howCCTV future crime control strategies and enhance the evaluations of those involved to reduce crimerates in Islamabad as well as provide safety and security to the citizensof the capitalcity. en_US
