dc.description.abstract LOBBYIST is an immersive and engaging political simulation and strategy game that puts players in the shoes of government heads, politicians, and lobbyists. The player creates or joins a virtual room with randomly assigned roles. There are three main roles namely; head of government, politician, and lobbyist. As head of Government, players have to make policy decisions, manage the economy and respond to the diverse needs of different voter groups. For example, the politician uses physical card packs which contain questions on them. When the user scans any card from his pack it gives him one question while also showing what answers there might be for lobbyists. In playing this game, the politician must select one answer among those given by lobbyists themselves. If the correct answer is chosen by a politician as well as its corresponding lobbyist both will get points respectively. Conversely, in case a politician picks an incorrect option then such points shall not be scored although more electoral votes go to a lobbyist. The dynamic interaction between politicians and lobbyists adds an element of strategy and intrigue to the game. Success lies in players’ ability to navigate political obstacles, make educated choices as well as build alliances with lobbyists who can help them secure votes. LOBBYIST provides a unique blend of political decision-making, strategy, and chance, making it an exciting and thought-provoking gaming experience for players who aspire to wield political influence in a virtual world. en_US
