dc.description.abstract | Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze the knowledge, attitude, and practice of laborers towards occupational health and safety (OHS) at construction sites in Islamabad, Pakistan. Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted among male laborers aged 17-53 working at construction sites in the new Blue Area of Islamabad. The study utilized a consecutive sampling technique, with a sample size of 402 respondents. Data collection involved surveys and interviews to assess the level of awareness, attitudes, and adherence to OHS guidelines among the labor force. Results: The findings revealed varying levels of knowledge, attitude, and practice towards OHS among laborers at construction sites. While some workers demonstrated a good understanding of safety protocols, others exhibited gaps in awareness and compliance with OHS measures. Factors influencing OHS practices were identified, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to improve workplace safety. | en_US |
