dc.description.abstract | This study is a review of Islamabad's university students' dietary habits, particularly differentiating between boarding and non-boarding students. This research aimed to identify different patterns of eating habits among university students. It was a quantitative study in which data were gathered with a self-administered questionnaire which included questions on sociodemographic and eating habits, which were further evaluated by students on a 3-point Likert Type Scale. The population was BS students aged 18-26, the sample was collected among 258 students from BS program of Bahria University and the sampling technique is a consecutive sampling technique. There is equal representation of both boarding (hostellites) and non-boarding (day scholars) students in the population frame of our study survey, which will help give a thorough and contextually rich understanding of the dietary habits of students while also exploring their socioeconomic differences and cultural and social effects. This research is significance because by evaluating and understanding these factors it can provide helpful recommendations to initiate and encourage healthy eating habits among university students in Islamabad. Throughout the research, there will be emphasis made between boarding students and non-boarding students and most of the discussion lies in understanding the factors influencing their eating habits, and proposing interventions for a healthier lifestyle. The study uses a quantitative approach, specifically quota sampling technique to explore dietary factors among university students living in Islamabad. | en_US |
