dc.description.abstract | In order to protect the health and welfare of expectant mothers as well as their foetuses, prenatal care is essential. This study looks at pregnant women in Islamabad, Pakistan, regarding their knowledge, awareness, and compliance with prenatal vitamins and medications. 121 women—those who were pregnant and those who had just given birth—were the subjects of a cross-sectional survey. The findings indicate a high degree of awareness and knowledge, but they also point to important obstacles to adherence, such as forgetfulness, time constraints, side effect worries, and resource scarcity. The results highlight the necessity of focused policy interventions and educational programmes to improve adherence to prenatal care and improve the health of expectant mothers and their babies. | en_US |
