dc.description.abstract | Gender inequality is any indifferent treatment with an individual based upon their sexes. Women mostly experience the negative effects of gender inequality. Based on the concept of feminist theory, this study explored how gender inequality effects the nutritional health of women living in slum areas of Islamabad. The data was collected from the women living in slum areas via interviews. In total data of fifteen women were interviewed. Data was analyzed using manual thematic analysis. Results showed that gender inequality has impact on nutritional health of women in slum areas. The findings highlighted that women of those are not aware of the concept of nutrition and its impact on health. Therefore, there is a need to raise awareness among them to educate them about the importance of nutritional diet and its outcomes towards their health. Lastly, for better understanding of the phenomenon under study, recommendations as well as future directions are presented at the end of the study. | en_US |
