dc.description.abstract The IoT-Based Waste Management System is an innovative Final Year Project featuring both web and Android apps. This system enhances the current manual waste management process. The Android app enables community members to check bin status online, eliminating physical inspections, saving time, and reducing waste collectors’ workload. It includes a notification system that alerts waste collectors when bins are filled or partially filled, facilitating efficient waste collection, especially for large communities needing daily collections. Users can report issues like late collection or damaged bins and provide feedback. The app features real-time bin tracking on maps, allowing collectors to locate bins and monitor fill levels (filled, partially filled, or empty). Collectors can also view past collection records. The web app, used by the admin, manages users by viewing details, approving waste collectors, and assigning them to different bin locations. It tracks collection progress, views bin fill levels, and manages user feedback and issues. The web app can generate monthly waste collection reports. The Android app is developed using React Native, the web app uses Next.js, and Firebase is used for real-time storage from IoT sensors en_US
