dc.description.abstract | In the cricket sport, coaches and players face a huge hindrance while training in sessions as the coaches have to manage numerous players and meet strict deadlines while doing extensive analysis and players often lack clear guidance from coaches with hectic schedules which hinders their progress greatly. Our solution to this problem is CricAI, an AI-powered coach Assistant that provides AI-driven analysis and posture feedback to cricket players while being an effective management tool for coaches to manage the training sessions and track the progress of their players. In order to develop the Posture Feedback, we leveraged the AI tools i.e., Mediapipe library to extract the posture of the player by using Pose Landmarks Detection and then calculated the angles from the posture. The angles of the player are then compared with the angles of an ideal player playing the same shot as the player. If the player deviates from the specified threshold, the area is highlighted and the feedback is shown to the player on how their posture deviates and where they can improve the posture. For the development of the management tool for coach and player, we leveraged the Flutter framework to create a cross-platform mobile application with a captivating and pleasing UI interface. We discovered that with the advancements in Computer Vision and AI that personalized coaching for players who can’t afford the expense, and the coaches who are struggling with managing numerous players can easily do so with our solution. After the completion of the project, we have created a solution that is not only limited to cricket or not only limited to a batsman, but can be further extended for different players such as bowlers and goalkeepers; and for different sports such as football, boxing, snooker and more in future. | en_US |
