Abstract:
This Project details the development of a Lab Management System, an innovative project designed to automate and enhance laboratory management through the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Utilizing RFID technology, ESP32 microcontrollers, and Firebase for real-time database management, the system enables automated equipment tracking and access control within educational laboratories. The integration facilitates accurate and real-time inventory updates, significantly improves security, and reduces the need for manual oversight, allowing a single attendant to efciently manage multiple labs. Comprehensive testing and debugging confirm the system’s reliability and operational effectiveness, showcasing a notable reduction in equipment misplacement and unauthorized access. This project not only demonstrates the practical application of IoT in streamlining educational lab management but also highlights the system’s scalability and adaptability to other inventory and resource management domains.
