dc.description.abstract | In the face of rapidly increasing environmental concerns and a growing need for sustainable practices, the conventional methods of scrap collection have proven inefficient, contributing to environmental degradation and resource depletion. This project introduces "DigitalScrap," a revolutionary mobile and web application designed to transform the landscape of scrap management. Rooted in principles of efficiency, sustainability, and transparency. DigitalScrap offers a comprehensive platform facilitating bidirectional interactions – enabling users to list scrap materials for collection, schedule pickups, and engage in the buying and selling of scrap activities. The objective of DigitalScrap is to address the challenges inherent in manual, non-digitized processes by ushering in a new era of streamlined scrap management. By encouraging recycling, reducing waste, and fostering community engagement, DigitalScrap aims to not only mitigate environmental impact but also empower individuals and businesses to actively participate in eco-conscious endeavors. The platform’s innovative features promise to usher in a more sustainable future, where valuable resources are preserved, environmental degradation is curtailed, and trust is reinstated within the recycling ecosystem. DigitalScrap stands as a beacon of innovation, driving society towards a more responsible and sustainable approach to scrap collection and management. | en_US |
