Exploratainment : A web Based Application

Abstract

Exploratainment is a web-based application that provides a single access point to users for the exploration of multimedia contents. It is often hard for users to find all multimedia content at one place. I browsed all over internet, but I could hardly find any entertainment website or portal that provides access to all kind of entertainment content. There are entertainment websites and sources,but they only provide access to specific entertainment content, and some are region specific. People search for one multimedia content on one source and for the other on some other source. Exploratainment organizes and provides a single access point to interact with almost all type entertainment-related multimedia content (movies, posters, song-lyrics, dramas, music, shows, seasons, cartoons, jokes, quotes etc); giving the user a convenient gateway to access wanted multimedia content. In addition to this, the information space provides searching, categorization, navigation, filtering and downloading of multimedia content. Users have to create accounts to access entertainment content, where they can manage their favourites, playlists, view history, edit their profile, download videos/audios/images and much more. The application will use collect datafrom different meta-sources like YouTube, Bing, OMDB and musixmatch and aggregate it one place using API’S of these meta- sources.
