dc.description.abstract | We cannot avoid unwanted incidents in someone’s life, but we can make the process of dealing with emergencies easy for the people in need of help. In case of emergencies or incidents, people need immediate and ejective help. Our Project “Vigilant Incident Reporting System(YIRS)” will facilitate the people by providing them with an android application to report incidents like different crimes, violence, harassment, and accidents. User will be free to either select already mentioned incident ’s types or he/she can enter a text describing the incidents. With our text mining techniques, we will extract the required data from entered text. It will allow the user to view already reported incidents in a specific area based on the current location and those reported incidents will be pinned on Google Map with Map markers. It will also provide the service of getting the location of nearby help services like police station, hospital, and any emergency service) based on the current location. For current location, android application will use Google Map API Key. Meanwhile, the web application will help police personnel to receive the reported incidents ,taken necessary action, and to analyses the incident data. It will be beneficial for the police department to keep the record of reported incidents in a better way, and they can also use the analysis result for the future safety of public. | en_US |
