dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the connection between corruption and the recent economic development that Pakistan has seen. In order to establish the pattern of corruption and the ways in which it constitutes a danger to sustainable development, the objective of this thesis is to investigate the most recent data and research material that is relevant to the topic. An approach that is qualitative is taken in the thesis, which is founded on theoretical study and a small amount of secondary evidence. Following the findings of the study, it was determined that the conventional knowledge does not apply to Pakistan because of the intricate nature of the connection between corruption and the growth of GDP. The nature and intensity of this link have undergone a change as a result of current events. The potential for Pakistan to experience even more robust economic and social progress exists if the issue of corruption can be further addressed via the implementation of comprehensive policies that aim to improve institutional efficiency and raise society awareness. Last but not least, the research acknowledges that it would be challenging to achieve sustainable development due to the fact that patterns of corruption are always changing and acquiring more and more acceptance from society throughout the world. en_US
