Abstract:
Kisaan Welfare Application is a software system designed to provide solutions to the problems faced by farmers in Pakıstan. The system has key features such as weather updates, videos by experts, authentic seed buying, and field management for farmers. The application is designed to be user-friendly, with voice notes in Urdu and videos in which registered farmers can guide their fellow farmers. Additionally, vendors can register to sell authentic seeds and other products. Pakistan's agriculture sector employs a substantial portion of its population, with approximately 60% of Pakistanis engaged in agricultural activities. This high level of involvement underscores the sector's crucial role in providing livelihoods and sustaining rural communities. Moreover, the agriculture department plays a significant role in contributing to Pakistan's economy. In terms of economic impact, the agriculture sector contributes a substantial share of Pakistan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). According to recent statistics, agriculture accounts for around 20% of Pakistan's GDP, making it a vital sector for the country's overall economic growth. This highlights the importance of investing in initiatives and technologies that enhance agricultural productivity and efficiency. The system is designed to be used on mobile devices, including Android and iOS devices, targeting an audience with limited access to technology. The design and implementation constraints of the system include language and knowledge barriers, which must be addressed to ensure ease of use for the target audience. The system relies on certified farmers for authentication, which will be a significant challenge to manage. The user documentation for the system includes screens to understand the app, a video tutorial, and an online help desk for any questions or concerns. The external interface requirements of the system include user interfaces, hardware interfaces, software interfaces, and communication interfaces. The user interface includes a login page and a home page that leads the user to various modules. The software interfaces include Flutter, Text to Speech, Google Weather API, Google Maps API, Android Studio, and Firebase.
