dc.description.abstract In many countries, the agricultural industry plays a vital role in the uplift of their national income. The demand in the agricultural industry has been increased because of which it is necessary that the agricultural/cultivation procedures should be made efficient by introducing new technologies. There are significant economic losses because there is the worst impact in the agricultural sector due to different diseases encountered by crops/plants. In Pakistan, the crops have been significantly affected by the pathogenic species because of which diseases like chestnut blight fungus and black mold have been found in the crops. Moreover, the temperature and climate changes are also a major factor in the development of these diseases in the crops. In order to stop the spread of these diseases many techniques and methods have been put forth. Methods such as inspection by hands and naked eye searching which are manual methods are commonly used by farmers. The problem with these methods is that all these are time consuming, inefficient and expensive. Moreover, these methods are not suitable for proper surveillance and detection of the diseases, so in order to overcome these problems it is necessary to develop a system which can continuously monitor the farms using the robots and detection of diseases on leaves using the image processing techniques and Machine Learning. en_US
