dc.description.abstract Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence is widely used to extract information and knowledge from the data in order to make efficient decisions. In the proposed system the techniques used are related to Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence techniques to gather informative knowledge from the Retail system to further take decisions in order to take better market related decisions. The system provided a dashboard management system having multidimensional view of our DWH to perform online analytical processing using BI techniques and to generate Dynamic and Static reports. The system has two main parts i.e. development of data warehouse and generation of fruitful visualizations. In both of these processes Data can be thought of as a fuel to answer business intelligent queries. Through Historical large volumes of customer data customers can find hidden patterns of customer behavior and get amazing insights of customer product selection criteria. The system has improved the existing models of business. In data warehousing ETL is applied to extract the data from different sources and integrate it to a single unified form, transform and clean the data and then load it to the data warehouse. Transformations basically convert the raw data to Business data. ETL tools are considered as best practices to access and retrieve data for Business Intelligence purposes. en_US
