dc.description.abstract This study paper looks into how Human Resources (HR) practices and the widespread problem of obesity in police departments are connected in a complex way. This study aims to show the many problems that come up when police officers are overweight by looking at how training, policy application, and support systems work together. The paper looks at how current training methods, wellness programmes, and policy frameworks might help deal with and maybe even lower the number of obese law enforcement professionals. It does this while recognising the important role that HR plays in shaping organisational culture and employee wellbeing. Through looking at current research, surveys, and case studies, this study shows how important it is for police departments to have custom HR plans that promote a healthy and fit culture. It looks at how effective current training programmes are, how organisational policies affect officers' weight, and what HR should do to support and put in place long-term solutions to fight officer obesity. The study's results support a proactive approach to incorporating complete wellness programmes, personalised fitness plans, and mental health support into the HR framework. It is suggested that better teaching methods, new policies, and stronger support networks be put in place to make the workplace a better place for police officers' physical and mental health. en_US
