dc.description.abstract The present study was conducted to investigate the Physico-Chemical and micro-biological characterization of drinking Water collected from filtration plants and household sources. For this purpose G-10 and G-11 sectors of Islamabad were selected as study areas, and a total of 20 samples were collected from various locations. Different parameters like pH, alkalinity, turbidity, chlorides, hardness, calcium and magnesium were analyzed. Many physical and biological parameters were well within WHO's permissible limit. The microbial parameters were also in accordance with permissible limits. All the parameters were found within the WHO permissible limits. This study concludes that water of G-10 & G-11 is safe for human consumption. en_US
