dc.description.abstract The modern landscape of work is undergoing a profound transformation, with the advent of flexible work arrangements becoming a prominent feature of organizational structures. This thesis delves into "The Flexwork Paradox," exploring the intricate interplay between the pursuit of employee freedom through flexible work arrangements and the imperative to retain top talent within organizations. The research investigates the multifaceted dimensions of flexibility, including remote work, compressed workweeks, and flexible scheduling, and assesses their impact on employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall organizational performance. By employing a mixed-methods approach, incorporating surveys, interviews, and case studies, this study aims to identify the nuanced challenges and opportunities associated with flexwork. Additionally, the research scrutinizes the effectiveness of organizational strategies in mitigating potential drawbacks, such as isolation, decreased collaboration, and potential impacts on company culture. Ultimately, this thesis aims to contribute valuable insights to organizational leaders, HR practitioners, and policymakers navigating the dynamic landscape of flexible work, offering a comprehensive understanding of how to strike the delicate balance between providing employees with autonomy and retaining top talent for sustained organizational success. en_US
