Abstract:
The development of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles poses challenges in countries like Pakistan due to
inadequate road infrastructure and noncompliance with traffic regulations. To address this, companies are exploring the
concept ofsemi-autonomous vehicles controlled by remote drivers. However, the current approach lacks immersive
experience, limiting situational awareness and control. In response, our project aims to develop a Virtual Reality (VR)
Aided Control System for Unmanned Vehicles that prioritizes human safety and enhances control capabilities.
Through extensive research and analysis, we have established comprehensive guidelines for our project, including
studying problems in existing systems, evaluating hardware components, designing modules, and conducting integration
and testing.
By combining virtual reality technology with unmanned vehicles, our project aimsto create an immersive control system
that enhances situational awareness and empowers operators. Our objective is to contribute to a safer transportation
environment in Pakistan by enabling operators to navigate challenging situations effectively while preserving human
life.
Throughout the development process, we have adhered to design guidelines, including conducting a comprehensive
study, establishing a well-defined workflow, selecting suitable hardware, refining software components, designing a
user-friendly Android application, and conducting rigorous integration and testing.
In summary, our project seeks to revolutionize the transportation landscape in Pakistan by leveraging virtual reality and
unmanned vehicles. By focusing on human safety and control capabilities, we aim to create a robust and effective control
system that empowers operators and ensures a safer transportation environment.
