| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study is to find the hydrocarbon potential of the well, by evaluating their well logs which include, Porosity calculation, Shale volume calculation, Water saturation calculation, and Permeability and to resolve lithology. The results showed that the chorgali limestone is main reservoir rock. The chorgali limestone contains 7% average porosity, shale volume is 8% and water saturation is 51%. The porosity was calculated from the combination of bulk density (RHOB) and neutron porosity (NPHI) logs, shale volume was calculated from the GR linear equation while water saturation was calculated from the Indonesia equation. A minerals model has used for the calculation of volumes of quartz, limestone and dolomite. In this study also calculates the thickness of the gross pay interval and net pay interval. The gross pay thickness is 57 meters while net pay thickness is 9 meters. The net pay thickness was calculated by applying the cut off of porosity, shale volume and water saturation. | en_US |
