dc.description.abstract | Against the backdrop of the Great Power Competition between the United States and China, this study delves into the complex geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific region. It critically examines the strategic visions of the United States and China, the driving forces of the region's security architecture. The study also brings into focus the role of Western alliances led by the US, namely the Quad, Five Eyes, and AUKUS, in shaping the region's security dynamics. Additionally, this study highlights China’s ascent as a global power, its assertive policies, and its multifaceted responses to these US-led alliances. Finally, the study underscores that the future of the Indo-Pacific region hinges on navigating the challenges of interconnected economic growth, inherent risks due to these alliances, and maintaining regional stability. The concluding thoughts highlight that the Indo-Pacific region, as a critical theater of global geopolitics, will continue to be shaped by these dynamics in the foreseeable future. | en_US |
