dc.description.abstract Mianwali is part of the Punjab Platform, which is considered to be a gentle eastwardly monocline rise at the Upper Indus Basin. Seismic lines 904-MWI-011, and 904-MWI- 026, shot by OGDCL in1965 in Kundian were obtained for studies from LMK Resources by the permission of the Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions (DGPC). Three prominent reflectors were taken and the sections were interpreted. The area is highly disturbed because of its extensional regime. Some small and major faults exist in the area. Faults are almost all normal. Not much work is done in the area. There is only one well present here which is probably drilled on a pinch out. The interpretation of these seismic lines reveals that the structural trap should be given importance and further investigation of the area should be done to get favorable results. en_US
