Abstract:
This research aims to explain the idiosyncratic factors that have shaped the foreign policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly with Pakistan. the period from 2014 to 2019 witnessed the ascendancy of the BJP and its Hindutva ideology, which has had a profound impact on the political discourse and direction of India. The sour and hostile ties between India and Pakistan have become worse. The BJP has started implementing discriminatory policies both domestically and against Pakistan with the goal of transforming India into a Hindu Rashtra. Despite Pakistan's efforts, the possibilities for discussion and the restart of the peace process have been destroyed by Modi's cruel tactics in Kashmir, extremist ideology, and anti-Pakistan position. The research provides a thorough examination of political, security, and economic aspects of Pakistan-India ties under the Modi administration. India's aggressive stance has been justified by highlighting the variables that influence bilateral ties and Modi's inflexible and hawkish mentality and concludes by emphasizing future prospects of this relationship.
