Interpretation of 2D Seismic Reflection Data of Qadirpur Area, Sindh, Pakistan

Abstract

The present study pertains to the modeling of the productive zones from seismic and well log data. This was carried out by using seismic line 0-985-QPR-07 and well log data of Qadirpur-01 provided by the Directorate General of Petroleum Concession. The Qadirpur Gas field was acquired by OGDCL. The present study area is the Qadirpur Gas field which is situated at a distance of 8 km near Ghotki.The field was discovered in 1990. Seismic studies include Picking the prominent reflectors on the seismic sections, during the interpretation of the seismic sections three reflectors were marked R1 at 650 msec, R2 at 780 msec, and R3 at 1020 msec, then note the time of each reflector against the shotpoints. Manual Preparation of Time and Depth contour map of top Drazinda, Habibrahi, and Sui Limestone formations on the Base map. By using the formula, S= V*T/2, the depth of each reflector was calculated
