dc.description.abstract Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating mental illness that can have a significant impact on a person's quality of life. Traditional therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) have been shown to be somewhat effective in treating PTSD symptoms. However, a growing body of research suggests that integrating hypnotherapy techniques with cognitive-behavioral therapy may be a promising avenue for improving patient outcomes. This study examines the potential benefits of incorporating cognitive hypnotherapy (CH) as a treatment for patients with PTSD. By combining proven cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) principles with the profound effects of hypnosis, CH aims to address the underlying cognitive and emotional processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of PTSD symptoms. The present research is a quantitative study involving CH interventions on PTSD-diagnosed patients compared with TAU group to gain insight into treatment outcomes. A total of 20 participants diagnosed with PTSD were selected from clinical settings in Peshawar, with age groups ranging from 21 to 40, with half of the population being male and half female. These participants were randomly assigned to control and experimental groups with the control group being treated with treatment as usual and the experimental group undergoing CH by Assen Alladin. The participants were administered with CAPS-V scale for diagnosis confirmation and PCL 5 scale to record and assess pre and post-therapy scores and improvement. en_US
