| dc.description.abstract | The objective to this project is to produce a system for solid waste handling to reduce pollution and maintain a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly neighbourhood. This report explores how handling ofsolid waste could be done to always make surrounding worth living. Solid waste management includes the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. This project is a mobile application which can be run on IOS and android operating systems. It allows its user to post a complain regarding the presence of (garbage) solid waste in his/her locality through the means of text, video, images and audio. The complaint is received at the admin’s end on the Solid waste management’s web app in which the admin can choose to either accept or reject a complaint. Due to incredible growth of Internet usage in past 2 decades, everyday several new mobile applications are also becoming a part of people's daily life. Since technology is changing rapidly and quite frequently new android and IOS versions are coming with lots of features. Most of the work of this era is done automatically because automation saves time, getting your garbage picked up by an online complaint is still missing from our world of getting things done online. What if you are provided with the facility to get your house outskirts cleaned by simply doing few touches on your smart phone. The previous research shows that there is no such platform that provides all the facilities in a single application where a user can make a complaint regarding the presence of litter in his/her locality with the use of evidence and also monitor the complaint status. The main objective of this project is to automate the process of solid waste management by providing a mobile application that can be used to post a complaint and view real time status ofthat complaint. | en_US |
